Computer or IT room, internet connection, dictionary, material for writing and drawing, maybe a printer

Duration:

8 lessons

Content:

  1. An NMG topic is introduced (e.g. electric vehicles). Raise pre-concepts and record central concepts in L1.
  2. Based on this selection of terms on the topic, learners search for the corresponding words in L2 and integrate them into the glossary (see below).
  3. The vocabulary thus established is specifically learned.
  4. Learners research on the internet (how to research on the internet?).
  5. Advantages and disadvantages of electric vehicles are discussed and compiled together.
  6. Development of a detailed table.
  7. In group work, key terms are collected on posters; these terms are then used to present the activity to the other class.
